Fears / Phobias PDF Print E-mail
A phobia is an irrational fear that can disrupt your life.

When we are born we only have two instinctual fears, a fear of loud noises and of falling. All other fears are a learnt response that we have either picked up from an adult figure displaying actions of fear, say against spiders, or taught to us. From an early age we do much of our learning by copying our parents or role models in our life.

Our subconscious is all about our survival and can assist in the ‘fight or flight’ response that in ancient days we needed to either fight the enemy or run away from danger. Sometimes what the subconscious perceives as a threat is irrational, but that does not stop the palpitations, sweaty palms, difficulty breathing and severe terror when faced with your fear.

Hypnotherapy has the highest success rate of all for conquering fears and helps to reframe your mind to beneficial changes, helping to understand the origins of the fear and deal with it rationally.
