Depression is an extremely debilitating illness which not only affects you, but also your family, friends, your employment, self esteem, and ultimately, restricts the enjoyment of your life.
We are all susceptible to depression when life gets on top of us. Feeling depressed may be a response to certain occurrences in life, or to certain basic human needs not being met. Depression affects people in different ways but common symptoms include insomnia, fatigue, poor concentration and memory as well as feelings of despair and helplessness.
Hypnotherapy treatment carried out whilst in hypnosis, can greatly assist this condition by lowering levels of anxiety and stress, increase self confidence, and explore past memories, relationships and life experiences. Hypnosis can help identify the root cause of your depression and help work through your emotions and reach understanding and happiness.
Hypnotherapy can be used in conjunction with or as an alternative to anti depressants, however I ask all clients suffering from depression to consult their GP prior to therapy and obtain a referral before therapy can take place.
